ISLAMABAD: Pakistan condemned bomb attacks in Brussels that killed and injured dozens of people today.

Reports suggest that at least 13 people were killed and 35 were wounded after series of explosions at Brussels airport and a metro station close to the European Union institutions on Tuesday morning.

“We are deeply saddened to learn about the bomb explosions in Brussels at Zaventem Airport and Maalbeek Metro Station, which have caused loss of precious lives and injured scores of people,” the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said.

“Pakistan sympathizes and offers its condolences to the bereaved families and the Belgian Government and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured in the terrorist attack,” a Foreign Ministry statement said.

The statement said Pakistan condemns this terrorist act in the strongest terms and expresses solidarity with the Government and the people of Belgium, adding
