BAJAUR AGENCY – Leaders of Bajaur Political Parties Alliance on Saturday expressed concern over delay in implementation of Fata reforms and urged the government to immediately extend the basic human rights to the tribal areas.

Addressing a press conference at Khar, leaders of All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance including its president Aurang Zeb Inqalabi, Haji Mohammad Khan, Qari Abdul Majeed, Anwarul-Haq, Dr Khalil-ur Rahman, Gul Afzal Khan and others expressed great concern over the delay in the implementation of reforms in the Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) in Fata.

They said that the changes in the tribal system were a long standing demand of the tribesmen but they have been disappointed by the government for not implementing the reforms on time; “We tried for waiting the implementation of reforms because more than a year of period has been lapsed since the government announced reforms,”

They criticised the government for not implementing the reforms and said that the means of the delay of the implementation of the reforms was that the government dint interested for bringing positive changes in the tribal area according to the wishes of the people of the area.

“Reforms in the tribal system were the right of the tribesmen and we will never all the government to roll back the reforms in Fata,” they added. They urged the government to respect the aspirations of the people and immediately implement the reforms in Fata.

They also demanded of the government to introduce the basic human rights to the tribal areas according to the constitution. “We were the citizens of the country and provision of the equal human rights is our basic right,” they said. They warned of launching protest movement against the government if f the government filled to fulfil their demands within a month.

Meanwhile, taking cognisance of public complaints about cheating public at large by Tahir Mukhtar Farooqi Managing Director Bridge Educational & Immigration Consultants Peshawar, NAB (KPK) has initiated an inquiry to help the affectees and bring the accused to task. According to details, the accused Tahir Mukhtair Farooqi has established a student immigration consultancy business at Shahid Plaza and lured students and public on the pretext of arranging selected offshore visas for study and work.

 especially for the people of terrorism affected areas.

The accused after collecting huge sum of amount fled away without fulfilling the promise of providing the requisite visas. Those who have claims against the accused are advised to submit their claims with NAB (KP) PDA Complex Block - III, Phase-V, Hayatabad Peshawar along with relevant papers to ensure payment to them after recovery from the accused person.
