HAFIZABAD - DCO Farah Masood has directed the doctors in DHQ Hospital Hafizabad to be courteous and perform their duties with missionary zeal as serving ailing humanity is great worship.  During a visit to the hospital she inquired about the medical facilities being provided to the patients.

 Masood, who is the first-ever woman officer who has been appointed as DCO in Punjab, said that best service delivery should be ensured to the patients and warned that zero tolerance would be shown towards the negligent and work shirkers.  She went round different wards, stores, record-room and operation theatres and expressed her dissatisfaction over the insanitary conditions and directed prompt hygienic condition particularly in the operation theatres.

She also directed availability of medicines through local purchase system so as to save the hapless patients from purchasing expensive medicines from their own pockets.  Earlier, the EDO Health and DHQ Hospital MS briefed the DCO about the healthcare facilities being provided at the hospital.

Notorious PO nabbed: The Kaleke Police on Saturday claimed to have nicked in Zahid alias Zahdi of Kathianwala, District Chiniot, a notorious proclaimed offender wanted by different police stations in 16 heinous crimes.

On a tip off, the police raided his hideout in nearby village and nabbed him along with sophisticated firearms.
