LAHORE -  Polo d’Sufi outclassed Diamonds Paints by six goals to four and a half to win the Corps Commander Polo Cup Championship title here at Lahore Garrison polo ground on Saturday. Commander Lahore Corps Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman was the Chief Guest on the occasion and witnessed the final with keen interest. Both the sides exhibited a higher brand of quality polo and a keen competition was seen for the entertainment of the audience. Showing astute planning on horseback, the winning side took the control right from the beginning and maintained their edge till the end of the play. On a day perfect for the polo, Diamond Paints tried to challenge the might of their opponents midway through the play but Sufi’s thwarted all such efforts with collective team efforts and coordination, coming up harshly to add goals to remain at front. Later chief guest Lt Gen Naweed Zaman gave away the trophies and prizes to the members of both the teams and lauded their good performances during the event.–Staff Reporter
