SWAT - Members of a family on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the PTI MPA, alleging his brother ‘illegally’ occupied their house and locked their three members.

While protesting in front of the Swat Press Club, they said that MPA Fazal Hakim’s brother Afareen Khan had illegally occupied their house and locked up their three members in jail.

They chanted slogans against the PTI MPA Fazal Hakim. They also alleged that PTI had got votes in the name of change and when came into power they were acting against innocent people. Fazal Hakim, who is the elected member of provincial assembly from PK-80 Mingora Swat on PTI ticket.

On this occasion, Hayat Ali son of Bakht Sher Rawan, member of the effected family, told to the media that MPA Fazal Hakim’s brother Afareen Khan a few days ago came to their home along with gunmen and threw them out of their house.

He said on the direction of MPA, police also arrested his father Bakht Sher Rawan along with his three brothers Gohar Ali, Nisar Ali and Farman Ali.

When contacted MPA Fazal Hakim denied the allegations and said that they (the family) illegally occupied their land and also theft cement and other things from there.

Demo against fraud

The University Employees Association (UEA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agriculture University Monday decided that they would not welcome and extend cooperation to the new vice chancellor until stern legal action was not taken against the alleged irregularities in the university.

A meeting of the UEA, Agriculture University held in chair of its president Salahud Din here. They expressed concerns over the dilapidated condition of university, alleged irregularities in funds and interference in the university affairs.

They asked the newly appointed vice chancellor Agriculture University to take the administrative orders from June 13 till date, in which more than Rs180 millions tenders were issued to their nears and dears in violation of rules.

Similarly, houses were allotted to private people should get back, they added and urged to disconnect electricity to a private professor colony from Agriculture University.

They also demanded to remove the employees taking salaries at their homes and conduct an impartial inquiry through well reputed officers into the irregularities in university funds.
