PESHAWAR  -  Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have finally agreed to have seat adjustment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for bye-elections scheduled to be held on August 22.  The PTI and JI after several rounds of talks finally agreed to contest bye-elections jointly. In KPK, bye-elections will be held on five National Assembly seats, which include Peshawar NA-1, Nowshera NA-5, Swabi NA-13, Tank NA-25, and Lakki Marwat NA-27-and four seats of the provincial assembly-Mardan PK-23, Mardan PK-27, Hangu PK-42 and Bannu PK-70. As per the seat adjustment formula, PTI will support JI candidate on provincial assembly seat Mardan PK-27 while for all other seats JI would support PTI candidates by withdrawing their nomination papers.  On other side, JUI-F and ANP have already announced seat adjustment for bye-elections in the province. The JUI-F and ANP have claimed that their seat adjustment will bring a positive change in the provincial politics and they were optimistic to win the seat easily.
