Sialkot - A private car was hit by Karachi-bound Allama Iqbal Express coming from Sialkot at an open railway crossing in Pasrur. However, the car rider survived the accident unhurt. According to police, the incident took place in village Alipur Syedaan of Pasrur Tehsil where a private car was hit by Allama Iqbal Express. The back portion of the vehicle was completely destroyed in the accident but fortunately the driver Mudassar Iqbal remained unhurt.

The citizens have expressed grave concerns over the open railway crossings which were a serious threat for public lives. They said that though Pakistan Railways was not able to put bars on sides of railway tracks in residential areas but it should ensure installation of gates at crossings.

Recently a motorcycle rickshaw was hit by train in Sheikhpura, resulting in death of 15 people including women and children.
