A suicide bomber slammed his explosives-filled car into the convoy of Iraq's labour minister in Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 11 people, security officials told a foreign news agency. The bomber attacked Shiite minister Mahmud Jawad al-Radi's convoy in central Baghdad's Tahreer Square but the minister escaped unhurt, ministry spokesman Abdullah al-Lami said. At least 22 people were wounded, the security officials said, adding that four nearby cars were destroyed in the blast. A ministry statement said three of Radi's bodyguards were killed, including his nephew.
