LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami has finalised arrangements for holding Peoples Referendum on Kerry-Lugar Bill and the US interference in the country on Friday (today) with the constitution of monitoring teams at provincial level. The JI is seeking public opinion on the US aid under the Kerry-Lugar Bill, drone attacks resulting in killing of innocent tribal people, alleged presence of blackwater network, establishment of a US cantonment at the US embassy and the pro-US policies of the rulers. The monitoring teams include Ulema, retired judges and military officers, prominent jurists, journalists and prominent citizens. The monitoring team for the Punjab includes Justice (r) Khalilur Rahman, Justice (r) Khizar Hayat, Pir Ejaz Hashmi, Qari Zawar Bahadur, Maulana Abdul Malik, Sahibzada Saeedur Rahman, Altaf Hasan Qureshi, Abdul Qadir Hassan, Gen. rtd Rahat Latif, Gen(r) Shafiq Ahmed, Brig (r) Zafar Iqbal Chaudhary, Dr Mehmud Ali Malik, Ataur Rahman, Saleem Bukhari, Ghulam Farid Sanhotra advocate, Ziaud Din Anari advocate, Dr Syed Waeem Akhtar, Dr Rukhsana Jabeen , Humaira Tariq, Sameeha Raheel Qazi, Dr Aafia Sarwar and Kalsoom Ranjha. The monitoring team for Islamabad includes Lt Gen(r) Hamid Gul, Gen (r) Roedad Khan, Mohtarama Shireen Mazari, Air vice Marshal (r) Khuda Dad Khan, Dr Hussain Piracha, Dr Kausar Firdaus and Prof Tayyab Gulzar. The monitoring team for Sindh province includes Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, Justice (r) Wajihud Din, justice rtd Nasir Aslam Zahid, Asadullah Bhutto, Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon, Mumtaz Hussain Sehtu, Muhammad Husain Mehnati, Abdul Qadir Jatoi, Muhtarama Aisha Munawar, Kalsoom Nizamani, Khair Muhammad Tainto and Abdul Hafiz Bajarani. The team for Baluchistan includes Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, Abdul Mateen Akhundzada, Maulana Abdul Haq Baloch, Maulana Abdul Hayee Mandokhel, Maulana Abdul Kabeer Shakir, Agha Taj Muhammad, Rehmat Khan Wardag, Amanullah Shadezai, Abdul Wahid Agha and Bilqees Saifullah. The monitoring team for the NWFP includes Muhammad Ameen Khattak, Justice rtd Abdur Rahman, Arbab Fateh Gul, Prof Dr Abdul Mateen, Maulana Saif Qureshi, Iftekhar Ali, Suheil Qalander, former Senator Abdur Rahman Faqeer, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Senator Aafia Zia and Jameela Ahmed.
