OKARA - Loadshedding and increasing rates of electricity and gas have destroyed business, traders warning that if the government does not pay heed to the problem, they will commit suicide. The incidents of theft and dacoity are order of the day, making life tough for the trades. They said if the accused in theft committed in the Rail Bazaar in Okara were arrested within three days, the Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Okara will go on strike. Talking to journalists, Anjuma President Chaudhry Saleem Sadiq gave briefing about theft in a shop of garlands in Rail bazaar at a a protest sit-in staged at Depalpur bazaar. He said that loadshedding has made life difficult for the trade community. The business tycoons can run their business with generators but small businessmen working on daily basis are confronted with hardships, he said. He further said due to the Muslim rulers wrong policies, America committing atrocities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and other Muslim states. Through change, he said. the corrupt rulers should be ousted. Citizens urged to cooperate in cleanliness drive: TMA administrator Fakharul Islam Dogar has assured the citizens of better hygienic conditions in the city and has appealed the citizens to cooperate with the sanitation staff in maintaining their premises neat and clean. He said that he chalked out a plan to ensure better sanitary conditions on Eidul Azha. He directed the supervisors to redress the grievances of the citizens promptly. He assured that sanitary workers would be provided with uniforms. He has also set up Complaint Cell in the TMA for prompt redressal of the complaints of the citizens.
