Despite their hectic efforts, the experts of Federal Board of Revenue remained unable to locate and remove the faults occurred in the FBR’s sales tax returns e-filing system at Regional Tax Directorate Sialkot.

Thus, thousands of taxpayers are faced with great difficulties in ensuring the online submission of their tax returns before the final deadline of October 31, 2014.

Only a week has left behind, but the technical faults are not being located and removed by the IT officials. Expressing grave concern over the situation, Sialkot Tax Bar Association President Shahid Mehmood has urged the the FBR chairman to extend the final deadline of online submission of tax returns till December 31, 2014 to facilitate the tax payers.

The FBR recently introduced e-filing at Regional Tax Directorate Sialkot but it has not been working due to some technical faults and thousands of local taxpayers are facing difficulties in this regard. He asked the officials of FBR to extend the final date for online submission of their tax returns.

2,000 APPLY FOR REMARKING: As many as 2,000 students have applied for the rechecking of their papers after their results in the intermediate Part-I examinations recently conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala.

The most of these applicants belonge to the Science Group, showing dissatisfaction over the BISE’s marking system.

Talking to newsmen, BISE Chairman Muhammad Aslam said that the BISE had a foolproof marking system with no chance of any wrong marking. He said that the papers were often got marked by the other nine education boards in Punjab. He said that BISE Gujranwala was not directly responsible for the wrong marking of papers. He said that the BISE Gujranwala was now doing further action on these 2,000 applications for rechecking of their examination papers as per the BISE Rules and Regulations.
