Mecca: Grand Mufti of the Ka'aba Sheikh Abdulaziz al-Sheikh further said that  Daesh is treading the path of destroying Muslim Ummah in the name of Islam.“Enemy is busy in hatching different conspiracies against the Muslims but the Muslims should not follow agenda of misguided elements.

“Daesh is pursuing the path meant for destruction of Muslim Ummah. Daesh has not even spared mosques and they committed terrorism therein too while on the other hand Ummah Muslim steers the humanity out of ignorance and puts it on the path of guidance,” he said this while delivering the annual Hajj Sermon annual sermon to more than two million Muslims who had converged on Mina to perform Hajj.

 He cautioned Muslims against those who are misusing the name of Islam and indulging in sabotage and terrorist activities. They have not spared even mosques and peaceful citizens. He said that these elements have gone astray and are strengthening hands of enemies of Islam. They are disfiguring the image of Islam and serving the cause of its enemies.

The Grand Mufti said that the Prophet of Islam declared all types of injustices as forbidden (Haram) and added that no human being would take life another human being. He said injustice is destined to be eliminated sooner or later. In his Hajj sermon, the Imam specially addressed the youth and said they should not listen to those who are spreading anarchy. Instead, they should direct their energies towards constructive pursuits and spread the true message of Islam.

He said that we should make our lives as beacon of light for people living around the world. He also urged rulers of Islamic world to take care of needs of their people and concentrate on efforts to promote unity in the ranks of Ummah.

The Imam also called upon the media to discharge its professional responsibilities in an honest manner, putting across what is right and inculcating the sense of unity among Ummah. He said that there is dire need for Muslims to create unity in their ranks as their enemies are getting united. He specially referred to plans to divide Masjid-e-Aqsa and said our efforts to liberate the Qibla-e-Awwal have weakened.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz asked Muslims in distress all over the world to demonstrate patience and perseverance and time is not far off when their difficulties would be over. On this occasion, prayers were offered for well being and unity of the Ummah. Earlier the Hujjaj reached in Maidan-e-Arafat are listening Hajj sermon of Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrims offered Zohr and Asr prayers at Maidan-e-Arafat and will leave for Muzdalfa just after sunset. During stay at Maidan-e-Arafat, Hujjaj will offer Nawafil and special prayers and repent their sins. The Hujjaj after the Waqoof -e-Arafat will spend whole night in open sky at Muzdalfa where they will offer their Maghrib and Isha prayers. Tomorrow, Hujjaj-e-Karam will return back to Mina and perform Rami and sacrifice animals.

They will put off their Ihrams after sacrificing animals, and shave their heads followed by Tawaaf-e-Ziara which could be performed within three days. This practice will complete the Hajj rituals. Over two million Muslims including 143, 368 from Pakistan are performing Haj this year.

. The Grand Mufti urged scholars to improve the way in which they spread the teachings of the religion. The Grand Mufti stressed on the need for Muslims across the world to be pious and be obedient to God. God says that the true religion is only Islam, he said.

“It is God's blessing that you were given Islam, he added. Islam has given humans the best code of life” he said.
