RAWALPINDI - Senior Vice President of PML-Q and former federal minister Ejaz-ul-Haq called on Chairman of Pakistan Amn Party (PAP) Haji Gulzar Awan at his residence and discussed with him the prevailing situation in the country, PAP spokesman informed here on Sunday. They also exchanged views about bye-elections of NA 55 and demanded of the government and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to announce the schedule of election in this constituency as soon as possible, he further informed. Talking to media men, Ejaz-ul-Haq said that the PPP-led government had lost its credibility, as it could not fulfill any of its pledges made with the people of Pakistan during general elections. He also criticised the government over what he said the failure of government in giving relief to the common man against mischief of mongers who were at their free will to fix the prices of daily used commodities according to their choices. Sugar mafia has proved so powerful that government had to move step back and wind up the action against them, he added in addition with such a government could not come up to the expectations of the people who were facing the ever worst inflation in sugar prices. He said the government was pushing the people towards a situation that would compel them for suicide. The present leadership of PPP has no any vision, it is lacking the qualities that are abundant in their slain Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto and this very fault is the main reason for all the problems being faced by the country men former federal minister stated. He said the government had no moral courage to file a case against their facilitator, the ex-president General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf. The PAP Chairman Haji Gulzar Awan, speaking on the occasion, said that PML-N was playing with the emotions and sentiments of the people of NA 55 who had given big mandate to the N-League twice. PML-N is creating hindrance in the way of holding bye-election of this constituency, he lamented. He said that the people of NA 55 had no representation in the National Assembly owing to which they were facing problems with regard to development of their constituency. He demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to announce the schedule for the bye-elections. Haji Gulzar also apprised Ejaz-ul-Haq of PAP manifesto and told him that PAP was struggling for the upholding of peoples rights. Ejaz-ul-Haq appreciated the political efforts of PAP.
