LAHORE The Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are of the considered opinion that the Army is the last option for bringing peace to Karachi, and prior to this act, the options of the depolicisation of the Police and Rangers should be practised. Impose the Governors rule under an impartial person, who has an earnest desire to mending the mistakes of the present government. Dont bring the Army since it is already involved in other operations, maintained respective spokespersons of the two opposition parties, while the Muttahida Qaumi Movement wants peace at every cost. PML-Ns Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan said his party was not in the favour of bringing Army to troubled Karachi for multiple reasons. The Army is in transition since it is correcting blunders made by its Musharraf, and must be considered the last resort to resolve the issue, he said, adding that the police and paramilitary forces had not been used to the maximum extent. Also the political willingness has not been shown by the present govt, which should have been there. This has been further augmented by the very fact that the coalition partners, that, is, the PPP and the MQM, are accusing each other for being involved in the mess. It is means that they are part of the chaos, while no one has denied the assertions, said the Senator. He further maintained that the government had utterly failed, and it was provenly incompetent.
