LAHORE - Pakistan Agri Forum (PAF) has appealed to the federal government to ensure the availability of DAP and urea before the start of the Rabi season. This demand was raised by Pakistan Agri Forum Chairman Ibrahim Mughal on Tuesday. He said that only two months had left in the start of the Rabi season, adding that approximately 32.5 million acres of land would be brought under cultivation during Rabi season. He said that in the Rabi season wheat, canola, sunflower, maize and mustard were being cultivated for which 35 million bags of DAP and 70 million bags of urea are required. He urged the government to ask the fertilizer companies to arrange 35 million bags of DAP and make arrangements for 30 million bags of Urea as the local production capacity of urea is round about 40 million bags.
