Our Staff Reporter WAZIRABAD - Gujranwala Division Director Health Services Dr Nisar Ahmad Cheema has said that the Punjab government decided that Wazirabad Institute of Cardiology (WIC) will be completed according to the plan with a of Rs1,150 million and will start functioning partially by the end of 2011. He was talking to The Nation, after an Iftar dinner, hosted by a socio-political figure Maqsood Ahmad Dar here the other day. Rumours regarding shelving the project of WIC are baseless. The Punjab government will soon release funds for the plan from the budget already allocated for Health Services, he said, adding that construction of the WIC will be according to the plan and design already approved. Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif honours the public sentiments so he rejected any alteration in the WIC plan because the project will benefit up to 10 million of population of Gujranwala Division and of other areas as well.
