A man has shot dead his daughter who had married according to her free will three year ago.

Nawaz Bhatti’s daughter Farzana Bibi, a resident of Moza Laal Bhatti, Khairpur Tamewali, had did solemnised free-will marriage with Muhammad Shafqat three years ago.

A few days ago, Nawaz brought his daughter back with the involvement of nobles of the area. Meanwhile, she used to talk to her husband on phone while her father did not like the practice. He stopped her several times and over failure shot her dead.

Police told the media that the police had lodged an FIR against Nawaz on the complaint of Shafqat. DSP Muhammad Shafqat said that his wife was the mother of two-year-old son Muhammad Sayam. Nawaz had suspectedly killed her and now he was giving murder threats to her husband.

UNDERAGE GIRL’S MARRIAGE STOPPED: Police arrested several persons during the raids on under aged marriages of girls.

Hasilpur police raided a house located in Ghareeb Muhallah where a ceremony was being held for the marriage of a minor girl with an 26-year-old person. Police arrested the groom, the bride’s father, and Nikhah Khawan, and registered the case against them.

Station House Officer Muhammad Afzal Khokar told the media that the marriage of Muhammad Ali’s11 years old daughter was underway with Ghulam Mustafa. He added that they were informed on time on which they acted immediately stopped the marriage which was about to be performed. The police arrested Muhammad Ali, Ghulam Mustafa and Nikah Khawan Wali Muhammad.
