BAHAWALPUR-Punjab Governor Rafiq Rajwana distributed laptops under Phase-IV of Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Scheme to the students of Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

He said that educational policies of the government had promoted education at every level in the province. Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has focused on the education and equipped students with the latest IT gadgets to enhance their capacity to face the new challenges.

The government has given special attention on social and economic development of South Punjab especially Bahawalpur, resultantly, the region has also flourish in the field of education with opening of new colleges and universities, he said.

The governor said that he was happy to see immense talent of the youth and with the blessing of Allah this land is very fertile. He praised academic and administrative achievements of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and appreciated discipline and beauty of the campus.

IUB Vice Chancellor Dr Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor of Government Sadiq College Women University Dr Tallat Afza, members of Punjab Assembly Fauzia Ayub Qureshi and Haseena Bagum, Deputy Commissioner Rana Saleem Afzal, District Police Officer Mustansar Feroz and Malik Allah Baksh were also present. On the occasion, students also spoke and highlighted educational schemes of the government.
