QILA DIDAR SINGH-Local PML-N leaders claimed that those who didn't wish to see Pakistan as a developed country would be defeated in the next general election.

Talking to The Nation, Gujranwala District Council chairman Ch Mazhar Qayyum Nahra, MNA Ch Azhar Qayyum Nahra and ex-MNA Haji Mudassar Qayyum Nahra said that Pakistan became an atomic power during the reign of the PML-N. They said the party workers and office-bearers are united under the leadership of party chairman Nawaz Sharif, adding "there is no split in the party." They said that the government would complete its constitutional tenure. "Those conspiring to create splits in the party will never succeed in their evil designs," they added. They said the PML-N government has overcome the energy crisis and it would make Pakistan an Asian tiger.

Only mature politicians

have right to rule

Only those people have the right to rule over the country who are politically mature and aware of the importance of continuity of democracy.

This was stated by former Nowshera Virkan Municipal Committee vice chairman Iqbal Siddiq Sidhu during a media talk here the other day.

He said in Pakistan, everyone explains the law according to his own desire. He criticised the politicians who seek support of the state institutions for coming into power. "It is due to these politicians that democratic norms could not be cherished in Pakistan," he said.

RS16M RELEASED FOR ROAD, PARK

The government has released Rs160 million for the construction of a road from Nokhar to Chak Chaudhry and a children park at Nowshera Virkan city.

According to official sources, Rs10 million has been allocated for the construction of road and Rs6 million for the establishment of children park. Work on these projects would be commenced after issuance of tenders and they would be completed by June, 2018. Locals expressed gratitude to ex-MNA and PML-N leader Haji Mudassar Qayyum Nahra for making sincere efforts for the uplift of the area.
