KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar on Tuesday condemned the anti-Pakistan Free Karachi campaign in United States and vowed to foil any such conspiracies against the country.

Addressing a press conference at makeshift MQM headquarters in Bahadurabad, Sattar said that some people wanted to lead people towards wrong path for the political purposes but the MQM Pakistan would not allow such elements who are sitting abroad to succeed in their attempts. He said that the party would run a counter campaign against the Free Karachi campaign and the overseas units are directed to carry out this campaign.

He said that the political landscape of the country is in front of us all and the recent incidents in Karachi are not only the failure of the Sindh government its subordinate institution police but also Rao Anwar who is accused of carrying out fake encounters. “Everyone had condemned these encounters and termed it an illegal act and such acts are increasing senses of deprivation among the masses,” he said and added that anyone trying to incite people in the guise of such acts and conspire against the country would be foiled by the MQM-Pakistan.

He said that the MQM would work of the rights of the masses through peaceful struggle which could not be achieved in 35 years. “I assure people that next five years would be the years of end of deprivation of the people of Sindh province,” he said.
