ISLAMABAD - Some 20 armed bandits while keeping hostage the employees of a multinational company took away dry milk and valuables worth Rs 10 million. The incident took place at a warehouse of a multinational company Nestle situated in sector I-9. According to eyewitness at 8:30 pm on Monday some 15 to 20 men came at the gate of Nestle godown situated in Industrial Area. They asked the guards that their vehicle was hit by a truck and they believed that the said truck had entered in this godown so they wanted to search it. Upon entering they held hostages the employees and guards of the warehouse and made away with two trucks of dry milk. It was also learnt that they also looted warehouse of Lays Company in the same area and left with a safe full of money. The company claimed that there were more than Rs 5 lakh in the safe and bandits also took away one of their vehicles. Later, managers of the companies lodged applications with Industrial Area police. On this, Industrial Area police registered a case and started investigations into the incident. When contacted Industrial Area Police Duty Officer confirmed the incident and hoped that bandits would be captured soon.
