The prosecutor of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Hassan Raza Bukhari has resigned from his office on Wednesday and his resignation has been approved.Talking to media men here after tendering his resignation, Hassan Raza Bukhari said that he was forced to appear in the court without providing any record in Cotecna Reference case. Responding to a question, he said that the case against former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif was opened without his consultation.Answering a question, Hassan Raza Bukhari said that the establishment of Rawalpindi NAB was also not cooperating with him and under such circumstances, he had no choice but to resign. He said that the officials of NAB Headquarter were appearing in Cotecna Reference case and he had no information regarding the case while he was asked to sign on court's report. Hassan Raza Bukhari said that the cases against Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Quaid PML-N, Mian Nawaz Sharif were also not being dealt by him but he was forced to sign on court's report. He informed that he had submitted applications four times about not receiving the record of these cases, adding he faced criticism only due to Nayyer Hussain Bukhari who is his brother. Hassan Raza Bukhari further stated that he had tendered his resignation on March 18 and after that neither he visited his office nor he talked about the record of any case. He informed media men that his resignation has been approved. It is relevant to mention here that the appointment of Hassan Raza Bukhari was controversial and he was facing severe criticism. Hassan Raza Bukhari is brother of Leader of House in the Senate, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari.
