LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday visited Pak-Iran Friendship Flower Exhibition at Bagh-e-Jinnah and inspected the stalls of colorful flowers set up at the exhibition. Iranian Consul General Saeed Kharazi, Member Punjab Assembly Mohsin Latif, Commissioner and District Coordination Officer Lahore, Director General PHA, the Iranian team besides a large number of people were present on the occasion. Iranian artistes presented Persian songs on melodious tunes. The chief minister lauded the exhibition arranged on the occasion of Jashan-e-Baharan and observed that it not only reflected strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran but also presented an attractive sight to Lahorites. Iranian Consul General apprised the CM of the details of the stalls set up at the exhibition. Later talking to media, the CM said the exhibition is a unique event in the sense that it has been arranged by a brother country of Iran and Iranian Consul General Saeed Kharazi has specially called a team from Iran for this purpose. He said an attractive fusion of Iranian and Pakistani flags have also been displayed at the exhibition, which shows that both the nations can progress together. He lauded the efforts made by Iranian Consul General Saeed Kharazi, DG PHA, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen and an expert Ms Nausheen with regard to the exhibition. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the occasion said that Pakistan and Iran are bound together in strong fraternal ties. Referring to the joint Pak-Iran exhibition, the chief minister said that friendship between Iran and Pakistan will continue to grow and flourish. Iranian Consul General Saeed Kharazi also expressed similar views.
