LAHORE - Wexnet exhibition 2014 concluded at the Expo Center Lahore. Thousands of visitors thronged the event and took keen interest in the products put on display. Both the halls of Expo Center were seen crowded by the families on the weekend and the buyer-seller interaction catered a congenial business environment. Great rush of women buyers noticed at the stalls of the foreign women entrepreneurs. The visitors declared it a very positive trade activity that has enabled them to purchase the products in a fairly good environment provided by the Government of Pakistan. The foreign exhibitors have also asserted Wexnet as a very useful platform in terms of boosting their business matters. They said that they have been evinced with great exposure after having business interactions with the Pakistani customers who are business friendly and we have found in them embedded with the great passion of business dealings. The stalls of foreign women entrepreneurs were of special interest to the visitors who appreciated the quality of products on display there.

Women entrepreneurs who came from Gilgit Bultistan, Sindh and Balochistan also termed the event as beneficial for their business uplift. Exhibitors hoped that the government of Pakistan will continue their support for the business oriented activities which eventually help them in uplifting of their business weightage. On the sidelines of the exhibition, TDAP organised seminars on e-commerce trends globally and across Pakistan, about how to become an effective and efficient global player, inclusion of non-financial services help the poor women to use the resources effectively and potential of women entrepreneurs’ development in EPZs of Pakistan. At the closing of the Wexnet exhibition, Minister for Women Development Ms Zakia Shahnawaz awarded certificates and best exhibitor awards among the participants.
