LAHORE- Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Noorani today condemned Ameer Jamat e Islami Syed Munawar Hasan statement of terming Taliban terrorists as 'brothers and citizens of Pakistan'.

Addressing a Pakistan Day seminar under JUP Gulberg chapter Lahore, Peer Syed Muhammad Masoom Hussain Naqvi, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the JUP Noorani demanded Qisas of over 50,000 Pakistanis including security personals as what he termed the Taliban terrorists were at large but Syed Munawar Hasan was available doing advocacy for the outlawed Taliban on streets of Pakistan. He said Munawar Hasan needed psychological tests for his controversial statements against the armed forces as Taliban germs had infected him badly.

Peer Masoom believed Munawar Hasan had gone out of his mind, so he did not qualify to be Jamaat e Islami chief. He said the incumbent ameer Jamaat e Islami had ruined the political struggle stature of the former JI Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad. The JUP leader said the entire nation stands united behind the armed forces against enemies of the state, therefore, the Taliban should be dealt with iron hands and brought to justice for banned group's anti-state activities.
