MOHMAND AGENCY At least 18 persons died and several others got injured when a minibus of a marriage party hit a landmine here at Suraan Chowk, tehsil Lakrao, on Friday. After the gory incident, security forces and local people began rescue operation and the injured were rushed towards Nawagai Hospital in Bajaur Agency, while some of them were shifted to hospitals of Peshawar. It is worth mentioning here that curfew has been clamped in the area due to ongoing military operation against militants in the region. Meanwhile, a bomb went off in front of a medical store at Landikotal bazaar on late Saturday night in which the shop was damaged slightly. According to the people, the Landikotal bazaar has become unsafe during night, as the administration has failed in providing security to them. Meanwhile, quake jolted Fata and NWFP on Saturday night at 1:00 am. No confirmation is available about any loss. Meanwhile, unknown assailants fired rocket at Tera Bazaar in Kohat on Friday, killing one person on the spot. According to media reports, security forces are continuing firing at militant hideouts. However, a rocket was fired from an unknown place that killed a man on the spot. He was immediately rushed to Liaquat Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
