QUETTA - Two people were killed Friday, including an official of intelligence agency, in separate incidents of violence in Quetta and Panjgur. According to sources, intelligence agency official Muhammad Tanvir was riding a motorbike at Kelvin Road when unknown bandits held him at gunpoint and tried to snatch the bike. On offering resistance, they shot him dead and took away the bike. Soon after the incident, police and Frontier Corps personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy. In another incident, a man was stabbed to death in Panjgur District. Official sources say the assailant identified as Sabir attacked Mullah Mansoor Ahmed, a schoolteacher, with knife and killed him on the spot. Police has arrested the accused along with the knife. Motive behind the killing is stated to be an enmity. Investigation has been started after registering a case. Monitoring Desk adds: According to a private TV channel, Muhammad Tanvir, who was shot dead in Quetta, was an inspector in Intelligence Bureau (IB).
