LAHORE – Balochistan National Party (BNP) central leader and former MNA Sardar Abdur Rauf Mengal called on Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch on Tuesday.

The BNP leader lauded the Jamaat-e-Islami’s role in highlighting the Balochistan issue. He said that the government was showing apathy towards the issue and there was no headway in this regard. He added that the families of the missing people from Balochistan were worried and wanted the earliest recovery of their dear ones.

“The youth of Balochistan are disturbed and in protest. Many of them have left the country while many others have gone up in the hills. The government has made the lives of their families miserable without any valid reason,” Mengal complained.

Liaqat Baloch said that the Jamaat-e-Islami had always supported the genuine demands of the Baloch people.
