DASKA - All the seven water fountains have been lying out of order for one year due to alleged slackness of Tehsil Municipal Administration officials.

The TMA established these water fountains in different Chowks of Daska city by spending Rs4 million for giving a beautiful look to the city during a special drive. The TMA remained unable to depute staff for their maintenance. When contacted, the officials concerned said that the TMA had no funds to rectify the fountains.

Meanwhile, Thinkers’ Forum President Muhammad Jamil Khana, Markazi Anjuman Tajraan President Mian Muhammad Ashraf, Daska Industrial and Engineering Association President Muhammad Asif Bajwa and Citizens Rights Forum Chairman Khawaja Zafari Billa Kashmiri expressed grave concern over the critical situation.

They alleged that the TMA wasted Rs4 million which were spent on the establishment of the seven water fountains. They said that the project was totally ill-planned due to which, these fountains were lying out of ordered.  They urged the officials concerned Punjab to look into the matter and ensure the early rectification of these fountains.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION: The construction of Sialkot city’s two main roads namely Kutchery Road and Jail Road will begin after Eidul Azha, as the provincial government would spend Rs90 million on the project. A PML-N central leader disclosed this while addressing the party workers at Pakpura Sialkot.
