RAWALPINDI  - In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic, the city traffic police have issued special traffic plan for Eid-ul-Azha and additional wardens have been deployed besides establishing control room in Traffic Headquarters.

Chief Traffic Officer, Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said that Rawalpindi Traffic Police have made special arrangements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha for smooth flow of traffic, adding that additional wardens were also deployed at every point and important places so as to facilitate citizens.

He said that traffic wardens were also directed to act against vehicles with tinted glasses, lacking number plate and motorcycles. He said that government vehicles like fire brigade, ambulances and others would be particularly checked because in most cases militants launch terror act using these vehicles.

Citizens should contact traffic police free helpline 1915 for help and guidance in case of emergency situation, he added. The CTO made it clear that no one would be allowed to exercise one-wheeling, rash driving and strict action would be taken against violators.
