LAHORE – The Lahore College for Women University’s Committee on Prevention of Dengue stated on Tuesday that no evidence of dengue larva has been found in the samples collected from the university during the past week.

According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, Human Genetics and Molecular Biology Department of University of Health Sciences (UHS) issued a certificate, which say that there is no evidence of Dengue Larva in these samples. “I have critically examined the four female mosquito samples given for specific identification, which have been collected from Lahore College for Women University campus. All four female belong to Culex pipiens-Complex group of mosquitoes. This is the most common species and is known as “Common House Mosquito,” said Prof. Dr. M. Aslam Khan Head of Genetics & Molecular Biology in his report.
