SIALKOT - A farmer was seriously injured by unprovoked firing of Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) in bordering village near Sialkot Working Boundary's Shakargarh Sector yesterday.

According to senior officials of the Punjab Rangers, the Indian BSF resorted to unprovoked intensive firing on Sialkot border villages in Shakargarh Sector along the Sialkot Working Boundary here in this evening. BSF started firing at 04:45 pm, which continued till 30 minutes.

Bullets fired by the BSF hit a local farmer Muhammad Ashraf in bordering village Agor-Bhopalpur, injuring him seriously. He was admitted at Sialkot CMH in critical condition.

The Punjab Rangers retaliated effectively and silenced the BSF.
