ISLAMABAD  - Former President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Yawar Saeed, former Chief Operating Officer of the Pakistan Cricket Board in Lahore the other day.

In a condolence message, he said that the services of Yawar Saeed for the promotion of cricket in the country will be remembered for long time. Saeed the son of first captain of Pakistan Cricket team Mian Mohammed Saeed was the father-in-law of Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani.

He was an accomplished bowler who served the Pakistan Cricket Board in various capacities and as manager of the national cricket team on numerous occasions, Zardari said in his message.

He also prayed for eternal peace to the soul of late Yawar Saeed and patience to the members of bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
