Lahore - The Punjab chief secretary yesterday granted approval to 104 days leave of PFA Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz, putting an end to rumours about her forced retirement.

In an application to Provincial Secretary S&GAD, Ms Mumtaz said that her father-in-law has suffered cardiac and paralysis attack while her mother-in-law is a cancer patient and there is no option other than taking leave from government engagements.

The ‘iron lady’ of Punjab Food Authority had applied for leave of 104 days from October 20, 2016 to January 31, 2017.

Mumtaz has also rejected the claims that she was facing difficulty or differences in her department, saying she will join duty assigned to her after leave and continue her official work.
