KARACHI - Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Information, Science & Technology has approved to install more than 5 thousands security surveillance cameras at the worship places of minority throughout Sindh province.

He said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is keen to protect and to provide the rights to the minority communities as per constitution. This he said while presiding over a high level meeting at his office.

Dr Sikandar Shoro has directed the Secretary Information, Science & Technology, Pervaiz Ahmed Seehar that this project must be completed as early as possible. He elaborated that Rs 400 million has been earmarked to complete the project while Rs7 million will be utilized for maintenance of the project. He further said that for this purpose a monitoring room will be established in the premises away from the monitored area that will be managed by the trained staff round the clock.

He further directed that in first phase, Security Survey of temples, churches, gurdwaras and other sacred places of minorities will be conducted and on the basis of the survey report, 4 to16 security cameras as per requirements, would be installed at strategic locations around the place of worship.
