SIALKOT - Seven armed accused tortured and humiliated a married woman besides cutting her head hair over an old land disputed in village Jalliyaanwala-Uggoki.

Victim Nadia Ashraf told the police that she was alone at her home when Asif Boota, Qasim Asif, Waheed and Kashif Waheed stormed into her house by climbing the walls. The accused tortured her brutally physically and made her naked by tearing her cloths. Later, they also cut her head hair and took her out of her house, she said. Accused also dragged her in the village streets. Listening to her hue and cry, some local people gathered there and got her saved from the clutches of the accused.

On the report of victim Nadia Ashraf, the Uggoki police have registered a case (No. 230/2018) under sections 147, 149, 337-V, 354 and 452 PPC. She told the police that the main reason behind this nasty incident was an old land disputed.

She urged Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Inspector General of Police Punjab Arif Nawaz to provide the early justice to her and her grieved family. Uggoki police have claimed to arrest two accused Qasim and Kashif and started investigation, in this regard.

ILLEGAL MONEY EXCHANGE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) unearthed an illegal money exchange and two travel agencies in Kharian and Gujrat during a crackdown against the human traffickers.

According to Mufakhar Adeel, FIA divisional deputy director, the money exchange in Kharian was running the business of illegal transaction of money in national and foreign currencies. He said that the two travel agencies in Gujrat were also found involved in human trafficking by sending the local innocent people abroad illegally with the help of some human traffickers. He said that the FIA teams have arrested three accused Akram (Kharian), Akram and Adeel Ali(Gujrat) besides seizing Rs1,000 Euros and Rs105000 in cash and seven passports of different people. He said that the FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases.
