The dengue spread can assume alarming proportions if tangible preventive measures are not adopted in the district. More than 14 dengue cases have reported so far in different parts of the district of 10 cases have been reported in Tehsil Ferozewala alone. This was stated by DCO Ali Jaan Khan while presiding a high level meeting with the officials. After Lahore, Sheikhupura is the second district where several dengue cases have been reported so far. He directed all the department concerned to focus their attention on eliminate of dengue larva. He also warned that no negligence in this connection would be tolerated at any cost. The Executive District Officer Health, the Health department officials, Revenue officials, officials of the Education Department and TMOs of all the four tehsils of the district attended the meeting.
