RAWALPINDI - An old man was gunned down over a money dispute at Mial Village, within the limits of Police Station Chontra, here on Saturday. Dead body of the deceased identified as Khaki Jan, a farmer by profession, was moved to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) by police for autopsy after filing a murder case.

The police, while quoting the statement of Muhammad Munir son of Khaki Jan, said that a man namely Muhammad Mamraiz from Karer village took Rs 15,000 as loan from his father. He added that on the day of incident, he along with his father went to the home of Mamraiz to get back the amount. He said that Mazhar Hussain, Taseer, Tasawar and Shabbir Hussain were sitting with Mamraiz in his home carrying weapons in their hands. He stated that Tasawar shot dead his father Khaki Jan by firing with Kalashnikov when his father demanded back his amount.

After committing the crime, all the criminals managed to escape from the scene. The local police, taking action, filed a murder case against the aforementioned person and started investigation.
