ISLAMABAD : Wapda Chairman has immediately sought Rs 4b to continue work on Neelum-Jhelum power project.  As per a private TV channel, chairman WAPDA in his letter written to ministry of water and power has said Chinese company has sent notice to close down work on Neelum-Jhelum project as the company has run out of funds. The company has suspended drilling work through Tunnel Boring machine and if Rs 4 billion are not released immediately then the company will resort to the court, letter said.

The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and minister for water and power through this letter have been requested to sort out the matter.
