LAHORE – Two women committed suicide separately after administering poisonous pills over their family disputes on Sunday.

According to the Badamibagh police, 27-years-old Sobia, resident of Khokhar road, wanted to attend marriage ceremony of her relatives but her husband Hanif did not allow her to. The couple exchanged harsh words after which Sobia poisoned herself.

Her family members immediately shifted her to nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her as dead.

Gulshan Ravi police said Farzana Bibi, resident of nearby town, also preferred to kill herself after taking the toxic medicines over some family dispute.

SHOT: A man was killed by security guard of a private factory in Nawab Town on Sunday.

According to the police four men were trying forcibly to enter in a factory when security guard Muhammad Ali opened fire.

Of the four, one received bullet injuries and died at the spot while his accomplices ran away.

Police reached at the crime scene following calls by the guard and other locals of the area.

The deceased was identified Waqarul Allah Khan.

Police arrested Muhammad Ali on suspicious circumstances after evidences and statements collected from the crime scene and passersby contradicted.

Police shifted the dead body to city morgue for autopsy.

LOVER BOOKED: Sanda Police on Sunday booked a lover of an 18-year-old girl found dead about a week ago in Misri Shah limits.

The victim had been identified as Maleeha, a student of B.Com and a resident of Sangla Hill.

Police said family members of Maleeha was in search of her daughter when they came to know that she was missing for the last few days and not attend university.

The family members collected information from her class fellows, and expressed doubt on Tanvir, said to be lover of Maleeha.

They requested the police to take Tanvir into custody and probe the death of Maleeha.

The detectives during investigation found Tanvir guilty and registered a case against him under 302 (murder charges) of PPC on the application of deceased’s father Allah Rakha.

The investigators say Tanvir along with his friend killed Maleeha over a dispute and threw her body in Sawami Nagar of Misri Shah area.

laid to rest: Mother of Justice Shahid Waheed of Lahore High Court, Dr Waqar Waheed, Najam Waheed and Khurram Waheed died on Sunday and was laid to rest.

 She was 80. Chief Justice Lahore High Court Umer Ata Bandial, in-service Judges, former Chief Justices Falak Sher, Syed Zahid Hussain, retired Judges and a large number of senior lawyers and relatives attended the Nimae Janaza. Registrar Sardar Ahmed Naeem laid floral wreath on the grave on behalf of Chief Justice and Judges of Lahore High Court.

Quran Khawani for the departed soul would be held today (Monday), February 25 from Asr to Maghrib at 27-N-Block, Model Town Extension, Lahore.
