OKARA - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said on Sunday that the ruling coalition was based on the politics of vested interest that’s way it repeatedly broke and then recurred.

Speaking at a meeting with local notables here, Javed Hashmi said that different conspiracies were being hatched on daily basis as the general elections were drawing nearer. He said the ruling coalition was afraid of the tsunami of change.

He claimed that change coming through the ballot would end the politics of self interest. He said that the nation had pinned its hopes on Imran Khan. He pointed out that the PTI wanted timely elections despite reservations over the procedure of conduct of elections.

POLICE FOIL MURDER BID: Patrolling police foiled a murder bid and saved a girl who was thrown into Lower Bari Doab canal by her relatives over a marriage issue, and handed over to her parents.

On the victim’s complain, the police registered a case against her cousins and maternal uncle. Meeran wanted to marry Qamar, a shopkeeper in 50/3R village. As Qamar was out of the girl’s family, his proposal was turned down by her family. Resultantly, she left her house but the Okara police took her into custody and informed her family members.

Later, the police handed her over to her uncle Sikandar Ali and cousins Allah Ditta, Muhmmad Sadiq and Abdus Sattar who on their way to home planed to murder her and threw her into the canal.

Meanwhile, In-charge Investigation Muhammad Sarwar along with other police officials was patrolling. He helped her getting out of the canal. The police have registered a case against the accused.
