ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Saturday said that hospital's CT scan will be functional soon after removing fault from the machine. According to an official of PIMS, due to some fault created in tube the machine is not functioning properly and for this reason patients are facing difficulties. He however said the hospital has made alternate arrangements for patients and those who need CT-scan are being referred to National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine Islamabad and ambulance services is being provided to the patients free of cost for the test. He said the warranty of CT-scan tube was 100,000 exposures which was installed in 2008 and since then 250,000 exposures have been done. He said in case of serious condition of patient the CT scan test is done under the supervision of the concerned doctors of PIMS. Executive Director PIMS Dr Abdul Majid Rajput has directed the Joint Executive Director Dr. Altaf Hussain and the Director Accounts to take emergency measures for the installation of new CT-scan tube.
