LAHORE - PML-N Punjab Vice President and MNA Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar has accused PPP of shattering the virtues of merit by its sheer favoritism. Talking to PML-N workers here on Saturday, he accused the incumbent PPP government of carrying on this tradition of favoritism by openly shattering merit, and allocating top jobs to undeserving persons. He cited PPP's endeavors of reinstating removed officials, which would also affect the economy heavily, and said that the country was passing under the tenure of civilian dictatorship despite the fact that a democratic government had been voted in. He also lambasted favors showered over the daughter of Chief Justice, and said that despite the ouster of dictatorship, civilian dictatorship still persisted, which has shattered any trust of masses in the government. Afzal Khokhar said that Mian Nawaz Sharif is paying heave price for peace and stability in the country. He said, "Mian Nawaz Sharif is being kept away from Parliament but he will continue to play his positive role for strengthening of democracy, supremacy of the constitution and national unity. He said the PML-N chief commands great respect of people of all the four provinces for his commitment to the nation and the country." He said there is no legal position of electoral eligibility case against Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif, adding "They can not be stop from raising voice for the independence of judiciary and rule of law in the country. He said Mian Nawaz Sharif is man of principles and would never comprise on national interests.
