ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari has directed the concerned authorities to treat a 10-year old poor boy, Habibullah, who is suffering from blocked arteries, at the expenses of the Aiwan-e-Sadr. The President passed this order responding to an appeal by the father of the ailing child to the government and philanthropists to help him in the treatment of his son. The father of the boy, a poor labourer, resident of Charsadda Road, Peshawar, had said that he could not afford the expenses of the treatment of his son and needed assistance. Habibullah suffering from cardiac problem has been diagnosed as having two heart vessels blocked. On Thursday, the poor labourer had appealed through a newspaper to the President, Prime Minister, Chief Minister NWFP and philanthropists for help. Following the President's directive, the Chief Secretary, NWFP, was advised on Saturday to arrange for the treatment of the boy immediately and send the bill to Aiwan-e-Sadr for payment.
