Mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey is completely shocked over having a successful acting career.

The 28-year-old has landed a starring role in forthcoming remake Road House and it was recently reported she scored a part in comedienne Tina Fey’s upcoming comedy.

Ronda will be serving as a guest host on U.S. TV skit show Saturday Night Live (SNL) this weekend (23-24Jan16) and ahead of her appearance, she shared her thoughts on becoming so popular in the entertainment industry.

‘It’s like a dream come true that I forgot to have at first, you know what I mean?’ she told Extra.

‘Like I stumbled upon all of this and I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, this is amazing!’ This is like somebody else’s suggestion of a dream that I’m suddenly in, and I love it. I never really saw any of this coming, but I’m really appreciating all of it now that it’s here.’

Ronda is feeling very anxious over her Saturday Night Live hosting gig, but fortunately the seasoned fighter has put a positive spin on her anxiety. ‘Nerves help me to focus and do better,’ she smiled. Fans were left stunned on 15 November (15), when the Furious 7 star suffered her first UFC loss, having been defeated by defeat by Holly Holm.

A rematch is in the works for the contenders and Ronda will make sure she’s in tip top shape before entering the ring with Holm again. However, she is finding training even more challenging than usual in light of her flourishing acting career.

Speaking of how she is managing to balance acting with fighting, Ronda states: ‘I mean, I’m kind of overlapping the two of them right now because I don’t want to finish one and have to start at zero ‘cause that’s what I had to do after the Olympics is I had the Olympic medal and I had to start from zero all over again and I… I really learned from that as much as I could and I don’t want to be put in that position again.’
