A village Gadraey-Muradpur-based trader was shot dead by dacoit on resistance during a robbery here on Sunday.

According rescue and police sources, Muhammad Fiaz, 28, was on the way back home on a motorcycle when two dacoits, riding a bike, intercepted him. They attempted to rob him but he resisted at which the accused fired gunshots in his head, killing him on the spot.

In Daska city, three dacoits snatched Rs40,000, two cellphones and gold ornaments, worth Rs100,000 from Younasabad-based trader Nadeem and his wife near Govt Boys Degree College Daska.

In another incident, burglars broke into a general store owned Zohaib in congested Nisbat Road locality and decamped with cash and other valuables worth Rs0.2 million.

In village Ludhar-Zafarwal, eight unknown armed dacoits looted gold ornaments, cash, electronics and other valuables (worth of Rs 1.2 million) at gun point from the house of a local landlord Muhammad Younas and fled away.

In Daska city, two unknown armed dacoits looted rupees thousand sin cash and mobile phone at gun point from a local newspapers’ hawker Amjad Ali near BRB Canal Bridge Daska here today.

Some unknown accused took away a car of village Jessarwala based Muhammad Shehbaz from Hajipura Daska city.

Police have registered separate cases with no recovery of arrest, in this regard.
