The military on Thursday called for early repatriation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, claiming Wednesday's drone strike targeted a terrorist residing in a refugee camp in Kurram Agency.

"The drone strike on January 24 in Spintal, Hangu district was on individual target who had morphed into Afghan refugees and not any organised terrorists sanctuary which have been eliminated," Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The Foreign Office, while condemning the strike on Wednesday, had called the move "unilateral".

“Such unilateral actions, as that of today, are detrimental to the spirit of cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism,” the statement said.
