LAHORE – PTI chief Imran Khan, while accusing the government of allowing the US to continue drone attacks inside Pakistan’s territory, has said these attacks are the greatest violation of human rights.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, Imran claimed that the rulers were lying to their electorate that they knew nothing about the drone attacks. “The drone attacks pose a serious threat to the security and sovereignty of the country,” he added.

Imran said the PTI would lead a procession of 100,000 people to Waziristan in a bid to expose US atrocities in these areas. He also condemned a hand grenade attack on the house of former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao.

Imran said the PPP was hatching a conspiracy against state institutions by not acting on the orders of the Supreme Court. He demanded of the ruling party to write a letter to the Swiss authorities to save the country from the clash of institutions. He also warned the PPP-led coalition of strong reaction from the PTI if it made any attempt to suppress the judiciary.
