LAHORE - The Punjab government will spend Rs 600 million during the current fiscal 2012-13 for providing improved services and facilities at mosques and shrines to devotees. 

Of the total 12 development schemes to be completed during the year, seven are on-going while new are five, official sources told APP.

Ongoing schemes will be completed at Rs 95 million while Rs 75 has been earmarked for new development projects.

The development schemes include construction of Quran Complex and Seerat Academy at the shrine of Hazrat Mian Mir, re-flooring of the Badshahi Mosque courtyard.

Sharif, rehabilitation, upgradation of public facilities

at Mosque Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain, restoration of

Masjid Wazir Khan and construction of the mosque and shrine of Miran

Hussain Zanjani, upgradation of public facilities at the shrine

of Hazrat Makhdoom Rashid (Multan), construction works at the mosque

attached to the shrine of Pir Mohammed Shah Hammbu Anna.
