QUETTA - Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai made phone call to Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, the Central President of Balochistan National Party-Mengal on Sunday evening and discussed overall political situation in the province.

The Balochistan chief minister told him that all political parties would have to come forward to improve political, social and economic situation of the province. "I am contacting my political and tribal friends to take them on board and to get their consultation for improving the situation of law and order and to ensure holding of general elections in pleasant and peaceful environment," Nawab Barozai said.

He said he would make efforts to ensure the vote casting process in a peaceful environment and that all political parties of Balochistan contest general elections 2013.

Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal congratulated Nawab Barozai for becoming caretaker chief minister and expressed his well wishes for him.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Chief Minister Barozai made phone call to caretaker Prime Minister-designate Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso and felicitated him for becoming caretaker Prime Minister.

Barozai expressed his well wishes for the caretaker Prime Minister and said that it is an honour for Balochistan that caretaker Prime Minister was taken from this province.

He also expressed his satisfaction that all political parties showed their trust on selection of an impartial prime minister.

He took it a positive development and said that general elections would be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner. People of Balochistan particularly Jaffarabad belt expressed their happiness as the Justice (r) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was selected caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The reports reaching here suggested that soon after announcement of the ECP about the selection of Justice Khoso for the top slot of the country, people in Jaffarabad came out of their houses and expressed their happiness. They were shouting in happy mood and took it a good omen for the holding of free, fair and transparent elections.

Justice Khoso, 84, belongs to village Goth Azam Khan Khoso in Jaffarabad district where most of people of Khoso Baloch tribe have been residing.

He had served as Chief Justice of Federal Shariat Court and has also remained in office of Acting Governor of Balochistan for three months after the demise of Governor Balochistan Gen (r) Muhammad Musa. He also served on the post of Balochistan Chairman of the Zakat Council.

He has been enjoying a good reputation among both nationalist and other politicians and political stakeholders have pinned hope that his selection is a message that an impartial personality has been selected for the top office of the country and general elections 2013 would be held in free, fair and transparent environment.
